Funny how quickly the end of the year and the Christmas, festive, holiday and New Year phase come around.

It’s a key time for most business but it takes a little planning and preparation to make sure you’ve planned ahead, cleared the decks, get the best from it – and are ready for the break and for the next year.

In the video above I share a few simple tips and prompts to help you.

  1. What business still needs to be done? The may be opportunities, conversations to be had and sales opportunities especially if you have the kind of products and service people want to buy – or if you indeed need to sort for New Year
  2. What communications need to be made? From Christmas cards and communications to customer and suppliers through to information that may need to be shared about Christmas / New Year closing / openning
  3. Cover / staffing / holiday arrangements to sort: Don’t get caught out by making sure that you, staff, business partners or others have sorted out their holidays, cover, shifts and other specifics. Sort it now.

Once all that is done this phase in the year – and the phase ahead of New Year can be a good time to clear the decks and plan ahead. What needs planning and sorting? Again a share a few tips in the video.
